I went shopping with my daughter yesterday and upon checking out the woman asked if I got a senior citizens discount. Okay I know that chemo wiped out my hair color and rewarded me with curls, but the curls seem to be slowly disappearing, the new hair growing in seems straighter, I really do look much older than my age.
Then I went to the store this morning and the very sweet cashier informed me that they don't give senior discounts on the weekends.Well before that third person asks me if I have a discount, can't take the discount today I decided it was time to do something about my hair.
I called upon a friend, you might know her, Ms. Clairol, nice lady and she helped me to regain my old hair color the one I have been sporting for decades, I almost dont recognize myself, but I have dark hair once again.
I took before pictures and will take after pictures to post as soon as my hair dries!

When did that happen?
While I was busy being a Mom, daughter, sister, aunt and friend it happened...... I turned 50! Wow, I don't feel 50 (okay so maybe the lasting effects of chemo make me feel 90, but like I said not 50).
For my 50th I threw my sweet daughter a bridal shower, it was wonderful, I think that there is nothing better in life that having your joy be fed by the joy of the ones you love. Alot of friends and family thought I was crazy having her bridal shower on my 50th but I have never been one to want big celebrations on a birthday, there is no greater gift than a phone call from your children that delviers an I love you Mom, Happy Birthday. Nothing more is needed in my book.
Anyhow, I am 50, 50 is definately old enough to have children that are old enough to get married. Hummmmm, when did that happen?
